Customer Operations Specialist
Location: Rotterdam Maasvlakte City Terminal

Become the link between customers, logistics, and transportation
As a customer service specialist, you’re the rock our customers can rely on. You handle everything from A to Z: from answering questions and coming up with solutions to managing the entire case process, and you ensure that all the information needed for the invoice is ready. In this dynamic role, it’s important that you can adapt quickly. You’ll work closely with the warehouse and regularly pop in to check on things. You’ll also be in contact with carriers (both internal and external), the customs department, and, of course, the customer.
What you will do
- You’ll maintain daily contact with customers and build lasting relationships by providing excellent service.
- You will accurately process customer orders and handle the associated transportation and shipping documentation.
- You will answer questions about the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods and provide clear feedback to customers.
- You’ll maintain contact with carriers, customs authorities, and customers to ensure that logistics processes run smoothly.
- You will assist with various administrative tasks and ensure that data is processed accurately.
What to bring
- You have completed a vocational (MBO) or higher vocational (HBO) education program, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both oral and written.
- You have knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and logistics processes.
- You have strong communication skills, are customer-focused, and know how to maintain relationships in a professional manner.
- You work accurately, maintain a clear overview, and have an eye for detail in administrative tasks.
- You can easily switch between different tasks, priorities, and contacts.
