Do you enjoy organizing international shipments and keeping multiple projects moving forward at the same time? Or do you already have experience in ocean freight and are looking for an environment where you’ll be given a lot of responsibility? If so, we’d love to meet you. We are looking for an All-Around Ocean Freight Forwarder for Rotterdam Air & Seafreight. In this role, approximately 60% of your focus will be on import ocean freight and 40% on export ocean freight. This provides you with a varied role in which you’ll be involved in the entire logistics process.
What you will do
- You will organize and coordinate import and export shipments via ocean freight.
- You will maintain contact with customers, shipping lines, agents, carriers, and other relevant parties.
- You will prepare shipping documentation and ensure it is processed and verified correctly.
- You monitor schedules, lead times, and agreements made to ensure that shipments run smoothly and according to plan.
- You identify operational challenges and proactively propose appropriate solutions.
- You will ensure the accurate and complete administrative processing of all files.
What to bring
- You have strong communication skills, work with precision, and maintain a clear overview, even when things get busy.
- You have experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
- You have knowledge of ocean freight processes and are familiar with import and/or export.
- You have a good command of both Dutch and English.
- You are proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented, and you know how to maintain a clear overview even when faced with operational challenges.
- Experience as a freight forwarder is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
