FTL Transport Planner

We are looking for an experienced transportation planner who can maintain a clear overview, is skilled at planning, and takes the initiative. Our FTL operation is all about responding quickly, finding available capacity, keeping customers well-informed, and organizing transportation solutions. This combination of planning, flexibility, and customer focus aligns with our current way of working. In addition, we are looking for a transportation planner who not only plans efficiently but also knows how to identify and capitalize on opportunities in the market.
What you will do
- Daily planning, organizing, and coordinating FTL shipments within the Benelux using various trailer types.
- Ensuring the optimal deployment of drivers, equipment, and transport capacity to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Monitoring loading and unloading times and proactively addressing operational challenges and disruptions.
- Maintaining daily contact with customers, carriers, and drivers, and ensuring clear communication throughout the transport process.
- Identifying deviations and bottlenecks in a timely manner and providing appropriate, customer-focused solutions.
- Optimizing routes, capacity, and rates; monitoring transportation costs; analyzing results; and capitalizing on commercial opportunities to grow the FTL business.
What to bring
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience as an FTL transportation planner in a dynamic logistics environment.
- Experience with Benelux distribution is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of and experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
- Good geographical knowledge of the Benelux region and an understanding of transportation networks.
- Familiar with driving and rest time regulations and their application in daily planning.
