For our location at the Maasvlakte, we are looking for an energetic and collaborative Business Unit Manager. In this role, you will have final responsibility for your client portfolio and ensure the optimal balance between business, operations, and quality. You will have the freedom to make an impact on clients, processes, and people. You know how to translate commercial agreements into strong operational execution and continuously drive improvement. With your keen eye, you spot opportunities, know how to capitalize on them, and bring your team along with you. Safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are always central to this.

What you will do

  • You will be responsible for the performance of your customer portfolio, including customer P&L, forecasting and budget monitoring
  • You will actively build lasting relationships with (strategic) customers and be the point of contact in case of escalations
  • You will ensure an efficient and quality operation, with safety and SHEQ guidelines as the foundation
  • You will initiate and realize improvements in processes, systems and KPI control
  • You will manage and develop the team and guide the Operations Manager and Teamleaders in their growth

What to bring

  • HBO working and thinking level or comparable level through experience
  • Experience managing operational and commercial processes within logistics or supply chain
  • Understanding financial processes and working with numbers
  • Experience within a SEVESO environment is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Familiarity with relevant systems, certifications and training structures
