General Manager of Contracting & Operations

For our Maasvlakte location, we are looking for an energetic and connecting General Manager. In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for your customer portfolio and ensure the optimal balance between commerce, operations and quality. You will have the space to make an impact on customers, processes and people. You know how to translate commercial agreements into a strong operational execution and continuously steer for improvement. With your sharp eye, you see opportunities, know how to seize them and take your team along with you. Safety, quality and customer satisfaction are always key.
What you will do
- You will be responsible for the performance of your customer portfolio, including customer P&L, forecasting and budget monitoring
- You will actively build lasting relationships with (strategic) customers and be the point of contact in case of escalations
- You will ensure an efficient and quality operation, with safety and SHEQ guidelines as the foundation
- You will initiate and realize improvements in processes, systems and KPI control
- You will manage and develop the team and guide the Operations Manager and Teamleaders in their growth
What to bring
- HBO working and thinking level or comparable level through experience
- Experience managing operational and commercial processes within logistics or supply chain
- Understanding financial processes and working with numbers
- Experience within a SEVESO environment is a plus, but not a requirement
- Familiarity with relevant systems, certifications and training structures
